2018-19 ASB Letter, Information, and Order Form

Hello future Royals and welcome to Rancho del Rey Middle School!

Please note students will not dress for HPWB until the end of the second week of school. There is plenty of time to order. All orders will be available for pickup/distribution on or after the first day of school. 

ASB purchasing options:

  1. Online Web Store sales start July 17th. Note student ID numbers will be needed for online ordering. If you do not know your student ID number, temp ID cards will be given at orientation or on the schedules given on the first day of school. All orders will be distributed on or after the first day of school.
  2. In person ASB student store will begin July 23rd during school hours. Cash, credit/debit accepted. NO CHECKS.

17-18 Yearbooks

WE ARE SOLD OUT OF YEARBOOKS.

We have begun a wait list. Please stop by the ASB to place your name on the list. This is no guarantee a yearbook will become available.

Pre-ordered yearbooks were distributed May 22nd during advisory. If a student did not get their pre-ordered yearbook please stop by the ASB window #1 with your student ID to pick it up.

8th grade Awards Ceremony May 17th at 6pm

The Rancho del Rey Middle School 8th grade awards ceremony will be held on May 17th at 6 pm in the CAC. If you were unable to attend you may pick up your award from the ASB. Students receiving awards will be notified by a letter. Students will be recognized in the following categorizes:

 

PRESIDENT’S AWARD FOR EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE

8th grade students who, through hard work and self-discipline, have Perfect Attendance and a 4.00 grade point average (GPA) in both Scholarship and Citizenship for all three semesters of middle school will earn the President’s Award for Educational Excellence.

 PRINCIPAL’S HONOR ROLL CLUB

8th grade students who, through hard work and self-discipline, achieve scholarship and citizenship excellence by receiving a 4.0 grade point average (GPA) for three semesters of middle school become members of Principal’s Honor Roll.

SCHOLARSHIP CLUB

8th grade students who, through hard work and self-discipline, earn a 4.0 grade point average (GPA) in Scholarship for three semesters of middle school are eligible to belong to the Scholarship Club.

CITIZENSHIP CLUB

8th grade students who, through hard work and self-discipline, earn a 4.0 grade point average (GPA) in citizenship for three semesters of middle school are eligible to belong to the Citizenship Club.

PERFECT ATTENDANCE CLUB

A daily record of attendance is kept in the main office.  All 8th grade students with perfect attendance for three semesters of middle school are eligible to belong to the Perfect Attendance Club.

DEPARTMENT AWARD

Teacher’s recognition of an individual student who has shown excellent achievement in their department.

Safetynet Parent Presentation April 3rd at 5:30

Rancho del Rey will be hosting a safetynet presentation on April 3rd at 5:30 pm in the CAC put on by the San Diego Police Foundation and Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force to provide tools to help families manage their online lives.
