2/6 Message From Superintendent

Dear Team SUHSD,

Today, the Sweetwater Union High School District took the precautionary measure of placing all of our schools and facilities on secure campus status due to an unprecedented tornado warning event. We are currently going through an unpredictable weather pattern, and our utmost priority is to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone in our district.

This decision was made out of an abundance of caution, following advice from the Office of Emergency Services. A shelter-in-place protocol was implemented to mitigate potential exposure to environmental or hazardous conditions.

We understand that this was a new experience for many of us, but our commitment to safety remained steadfast throughout.

We want to reassure our community that the safety of our students, staff, and community members is our top priority. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding during this time.

Best,

Moises G. Aguirre, Ed.D.

Superintendent
